On June 29 — July 9, 2026, the traditional summer gathering of the Brotherhood of Orthodox Pathfinders "Bylina — 2026" was held in the vicinity of the village of Brednevo in the Tver region. The event was held with the blessing of Metropolitan Ambrose of Tver and Kashinsky.
More than 160 people from different cities took part in the rally: Moscow, Tver, Lipetsk, St. Petersburg, as well as from the Moscow region and Primorye.
The rally began with the arrival and arrangement of the subcamps. Teenagers learned how to set up tents, organize everyday life, and assign duties.
Each day included practical classes in knitting knots, first aid, orienteering, working with an axe, archery, and game fencing. Thematic workshops were held in parallel.
A special place was taken by the preparation for the plot role-playing game "Epic". The entrance ticket to the game was a historical costume — each participant thought out his own image in advance. The teams got acquainted with Russian epics in advance and chose the roles: heroes, merchants, artisans, princely squad. During the game, the participants "built" cities, fought, participated in tournaments and dances, and lived by the rules of the game world. This allowed us not only to immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of fairy-tale Russia, but also to put into practice the acquired skills.
On Saturday, July 4, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the camp church. 98 pathfinders received communion of the Holy Mysteries of Christ. Throughout the meeting, the teenagers had the opportunity to communicate with the priests and discuss issues of faith in an informal setting.
