With the blessing of Metropolitan Ambrose of Tver and Kashinsk, a center for rehabilitation of participants in military operations is being created at the Church of the Ascension of the Lord in Kimry, Tver region.
Currently, a two-storey historical house has been recreated from the ruins, which is equipped in accordance with modern standards and is intended for the rehabilitation of combatants.
The building has an assembly hall, classrooms, living quarters, a refectory and a kitchen. The center can accommodate up to 25 people, including military personnel with limited mobility. Rehabilitation will take place with the participation of clergy, psychologists, as well as specially trained staff.
On March 23, 2025, Metropolitan Ambrose inspected the building of the future center, the reconstruction of which is in the final stages. The bishop thanked the rector of the Ascension Church, Archpriest Andrey Lazarev, and all those who are involved in the creation of the center.

March 14, 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the episcopal consecration of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill. This is not merely a personal jubilee, but a date of profound significance for the fullness of the Church as a whole, because episcopal consecration is the moment of assuming a special responsibility for the people of God and a witness to the Church’s fidelity to apostolic succession. The calling of the future Primate to episcopal ministry was formally established by a resolution of the Holy Synod in early March 1976; on the eve of the consecration, the rite of nomination took place, and on March 14—on the Sunday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy—at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra, Archimandrite Kirill (Gundyaev), rector of the Leningrad theological schools, was consecrated Bishop of Vyborg.

By the decision of His Holiness Patriarch Pimen and the Holy Synod of March 3, 1976, Archimandrite Kirill (Gundyaev), rector of the Leningrad Theological Academy and Seminary, was elected Bishop of Vyborg, vicar of the Leningrad Diocese.

Exactly 50 years ago, on March 13, 1976, at the Church of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian at the Leningrad Theological Academy, the rite of nomination took place; and on the following day, March 14, the First Sunday of Great Lent, the Feast of the Triumph of Orthodoxy, during the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra in Leningrad, the episcopal consecration of Archimandrite Kirill — the future Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’ — was performed. The service was presided over by the ever-memorable Metropolitan Nikodim (Rotov), whom His Holiness Patriarch Kirill calls his spiritual mentor and teacher.
