On August 10, 2026, celebrations were held on the occasion of the memorial day of St. Pitirim, Bishop of Tambov, and the Cathedral of Tambov Saints.

With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, Metropolitan Gregory of Voskresensk, the administrator of the Moscow Patriarchate, took part in the celebration.
The Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Transfiguration Cathedral, where the relics of St. Pitirim are located. It was headed by Metropolitan Gregory of Voskresensk, Metropolitan Theodosius of Tambov and Rasskazovsky, Bishop Ignatius of Uvarov and Kirsanovsky, and Bishop Hermogenes of Michurinsky and Morshansky. The clergy and monastics of the Tambov Archdiocese, teachers and students of the theological seminary, parishioners and pilgrims prayed during the service.

After the Liturgy, a festive prayer service and a procession with the relics of St. Pitirim took place around the cathedral. Metropolitan Gregory conveyed the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill to the participants of the celebrations and congratulated the residents of Tambov on the holiday.

On the same day, a monument to St. Silouan of Athos, a native of Tambov land, was unveiled in the workers' settlement of Novaya Lyada. The monument is installed on the territory of the temple, consecrated in honor of the saint. The ceremony was attended by Metropolitan Gregory, Metropolitan Theodosius, representatives of regional authorities and the public.
