On the morning of September 7, 2026, an unmanned aerial vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine caused significant damage to the church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "Healer" in the village of Novoukrainka, Zaporizhia region (Kamensk-Dneprovsky deanery of the Berdyansk diocese).
According to eyewitnesses, the UAV stayed in one place for a long time, and then the explosion destroyed the roof of the temple, the air conditioner and the metal canopy over the entrance. Three doors and a utility room were also damaged.
There were no casualties, the interior of the church remained intact, but severe damage to the roof requires urgent repairs, and therefore, with the blessing of Bishop Peter of Berdyansk and Primorsky, a fundraiser was opened on the electronic resources of the Berdyansk diocese.
