On October 3, 2025, a one-month-old baby suffered a sudden cardiac arrest in the city of Tuapse.
The intensive care unit of Tuapse Central District Hospital No. 1 was able to bring him back to life and informed the parents about the critical condition of the child.
At the request of the concerned parents, Archpriest Dimitri Puchkov, a hospital priest and rector of the church of the Icon of the Mother of God "Helper in Childbirth", was invited. Father Dimitri immediately responded to the parents' request and arrived at the hospital intensive care unit, where the baby was in critical condition.
In this situation, it was decided to perform the sacrament of Baptism over the child. After the Baptism and Chrismation, the priest, together with the parents, prayed for the baby's health and supported the parents at this difficult moment in their lives.
The spiritual support provided by the priest instilled hope in the hearts of the loved ones for a speedy recovery.
