On November 28, 2023, an icon of the Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky with a particle of his holy relics was transferred to the church of St. Nicholas of Myra at the Leningrad Railway Station in Moscow.

The transfer of the shrine was organized with the participation of the Publishing House of the Moscow Patriarchate, the Charitable Foundation of the Martyr Boniface, the Independent Research Scientific Expertise named after P.M. Tretyakov, JSC "Russian Railways".

With the blessing of the editor-in-chief of the Publishing House of the Moscow Patriarchate, Bishop Nikolai of Balashikha and Orekhovo-Zuevsky, a solemn divine service dedicated to this event was performed by the cleric of the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos in the Old Simonov of Moscow, Priest Alexy Burov.

Natalia Mezentseva, President of the Martyr Boniface Charitable Foundation, stressed that the transfer of the icon took place within the framework of the program "Spiritual Strengthening of the Russian Army". The Foundation has been conducting it jointly with the Synodal Department for Interaction with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies since 2016 with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. Within the framework of the project, military marching icons are transferred to military temples, military schools, cadet corps and other organizations. From now on, the icon of the Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky will stay at the Leningrad railway station, where soldiers are escorted and met. In the St. Nicholas Church, soldiers and their relatives will be able to pray to St. Alexander, venerate his honest relics.

The Church of St. Nicholas of Myra at the Leningrad railway Station was built in 2013 as part of the project of the Publishing House of the Moscow Patriarchate and JSC "Russian Railways" "With God on the road". Daily liturgical life goes on in the church, Liturgies, prayer services are performed here, akathists are served, notes on health and commemoration can be submitted here, trebs can be ordered.
