The event was timed to coincide with the church-wide Sobriety Day. About 50 people came to the start, numerous relatives and friends came to cheer for them. All participants received commemorative medals at the finish.
Such "Sobriety runs", including cycling and skiing, have been held on the initiative of the parish for several years in order to revive in the public consciousness the attitude to sobriety as a moral value and Christian virtue.
