Another trip of military priests to military units serving in the area of a special military operation was timed to coincide with one of the most revered holidays in the military environment — the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Since ancient times, Orthodox soldiers and Cossacks have been especially honoring this day: in their prayers they ask for protection and preservation of lives, for the victory of the Russian army.
The Divine Liturgy was celebrated in one of the dugout churches, a special sign that even in the most difficult conditions, the fullness of church life remains, and soldiers have the opportunity to confess and receive Communion of the Holy Mysteries of Christ.
Prayer services to the Blessed Virgin Mary and the holy warriors were held in other units as a living appeal to the Heavenly intercession of the Mother of God.
The priests blessed the soldiers on combat duty to protect the civilian population and infrastructure of the region from UAV attacks.
The special warmth of the moment was given by the fact that the soldiers were given letters from students of the Kuibyshev school of the Bakhchisarai district. These lines contain simple, sincere gratitude and support, which is so important away from home.
