A man in Krivoy Rog attacked a clergyman of one of the churches of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) with an axe right during the liturgy, the First Cossack TV channel reported on Monday.
"In Krivoy Rog, on October 5, a priest was attacked right during the liturgy. An unknown man entered an Orthodox church in the Metallurgichesky district of the city with an axe. We are talking about one of the temples of the UOC. The attacker rushed at the clergyman and knocked down the headdress with an axe," reads a message posted on the Telegram channel of the First Cossack.
It is noted that the attacker turned out to be a 35-year-old local resident. He has already been detained by the police. He is charged with the article "Hooliganism".
