Parishioners of the Lavra church of the Life-giving Spring are forced to pray and take communion behind bars outside the monastery.
In the Kiev Pechersk Lavra, parishioners continue to receive communion through the bars. On December 3, 2023, the priests of the Lavra church of the Life-giving Spring, which is located at the lower entrance to the monastery, were forced to confess and commune their parishioners through the lattice doors.
Photos of the communion were sent to the editorial office of the SPJ.
Recall that since August 10, the authorities have closed access to the Lower Lavra for all parishioners for far-fetched reasons. You can get to the shrine only for money as part of an excursion group.
For the first time, the parishioners of the Life-giving Spring were forced to confess and receive communion through the bars on their temple holiday, April 21.
