On the memorial day of the Equal-to-the-Apostles Grand Duke Vladimir, the day of the church-state holiday of the Baptism of Russia, July 28, 2024, after the Divine Liturgy in the Patriarchal Assumption Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, Metropolitan Pavel Krutitsky and Kolomna, Patriarchal Vicar of the Moscow Metropolis, led a procession with a particle of relics and an icon of the Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir through the Borovitsky Gate to the monument to the Baptist of Russia on Borovitskaya Square.
The procession and prayer service at the monument were attended by bishops and clergy who served Metropolitan Paul at the Liturgy, participants of the divine service at the Patriarchal Assumption Cathedral.
The service was attended by abbesses, monks and nuns of Stavropol monasteries, Patriarchal volunteers, parishioners of Moscow churches, and pilgrims.
At the monument, where the clergy of Moscow churches, residents and guests of the capital gathered, a prayer service was performed to Prince Vladimir of the Equal of the Apostles.
Metropolitan Pavel of Krutitsky and Kolomna read out the Patriarchal message to the participants of the celebrations.
At the end of the prayer service, the veneration of the holy relics of the Equal-to-the-Apostles Baptist of Russia took place, the ark with a particle of which was carried out in a procession from the Kremlin to Borovitskaya Square.

The monument to the Equal-to-the-Apostles Grand Duke Vladimir was unveiled on Borovitskaya Square in Moscow on November 4, 2016. The opening ceremony was attended by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
The monument was erected by the Russian Military Historical Society in cooperation with the Government of Moscow. The author of the sculpture is the People's Artist of Russia S.A. Shcherbakov.
