On the memorial day of Equal-to-the-Apostles Grand Duke Vladimir, the day of the church state holiday of the Baptism of Rus, on July 28, 2026, after the Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Assumption Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia led a procession with a fragment of the relics and an icon of Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir through the Borovitsky Gate to the monument to Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir on Borovitskaya Square.
The procession and prayer service at the monument were attended by bishops and clergy who served His Holiness at the Liturgy at the Patriarchal Assumption Cathedral.
The youth choir of the cathedrals of the Moscow Kremlin under the direction of A.M. Kharkovoy sang at the procession. 
A prayer service was performed at the monument to Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir. 
Clergy of Moscow churches, abbesses, monks and nuns of Stavropol monasteries, officers and cadets of the Military University of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Cossacks of the Central Cossack Army, members of the Patriarchal Volunteers movement, parishioners of Moscow churches, residents and guests of the capital prayed at the service. 
The service was broadcast live on the Rossiya 24, Soyuz and Spas TV channels, as well as on the official portal of the Russian Orthodox Church. The broadcast was displayed on a large screen installed on the square in front of the monument.
The liturgical hymns were performed by the choir of the clergy of the Moscow Archdiocese under the direction of Priest Sergius Golev.
Petitions were offered at a special litany.: 
"We also pray for our great Lord and Father, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, and for all our brethren in Christ.
We also pray for our God-protected country of Russia, its President Vladimir Vladimirovich, its mighty and victorious army, so that we may live a quiet and silent life in all piety and purity. 
We thank you with fear and trembling, as a servant of iniquity, to Your benevolence, Our Savior and Master, O Lord, for Your grace, which you have poured out on our Land from its Baptism to this day, and we give thanks, and we offer thanks to You, as God, and we cry out with tenderness: deliver Your people from all troubles and Always, as You are Merciful, grant our petitions in goodness, we fervently pray to You, hear and have mercy.
We also pray to You, our Saviour, who, through the Most faithful Prince Vladimir, has been pleased to choose our family as His inheritance and to bestow the Holy Spirit in the baptismal font, so that you may preserve our Holy Church from schisms and disorders, and confirm it in the unity of faith, and protect it with peace, all of you: Lord, hear and have mercy.
We also pray to You, O Lord Almighty, that You may look upon and strengthen this vine, which You plant and preserve from all the slanders of the enemy, and grant Your inheritance peace and serenity in the coming years, so that Holy Russia, which you have chosen for Your dwelling, may be glorified by Your Trisagion, hear And have mercy.
Having given us Your commandment to love You, our God, and your neighbor, create so that hatred, enmity, resentment, and other lawlessness may cease, but may true love reign in our hearts, we beseech You, our Savior, to hear and mercifully have mercy.
We also pray to You, our Lord and Savior, that You may grant the prayers of us Your unworthy servants in this year of trial, which has come to Holy Russia, for you have become common to the world, and that You may reveal your salvation. O Lord, hear me and have mercy on me.
We also pray that you will look with compassion and mercy upon the army and all the defenders of our Fatherland, and that you will strengthen us all in faith, unity of mind, health and strength of spirit. O Lord, hear me and have mercy on me." 
Metropolitan Gregory of the Resurrection, the Administrator of the Moscow Patriarchate, said a prayer: 
"O tri-hypostatic God, Father Almighty, Only-begotten Son, Savior of the world, and Holy Soul, enlighten and sanctify tribes and peoples! O Lord of the Russian Land, Prince Vladimir, Who hast guided us to the light of the true faith, and thereby enlightened our whole country with Baptism, and with a host of saints, as thou didst adorn the sky with the most luminous stars, O Lord, Who didst give glory to our Church! And to us, their humble and unworthy children, who are now coming to Your glory and offering prayer of thanksgiving for all the benefits that have been in Russia from ancient times to the present. Look upon Your field, Holy Church, upon the countries and peoples who successively adopted the Orthodox faith from a single baptismal font in the waters of the Dnieper and who now bring You the faces of the saints, like the beautiful fruit of the saving sowing of Your Word. For you have served the people with your faith, hope, and love, the way of your word and life, showing us the way to perfection according to the commandment of Christ: be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect. Preserving this holy heritage of theirs, we beseech You, O Life Giver: Save and have mercy on us, grant peace to Your world and to all Your creation, which the sons of this world seek to destroy through our sin. For you do not want sinners to die, but rather to be converted and alive; look down upon us who are in sin, avert Your wrath, which is justly directed against us, grant us repentance and have mercy on us through Your ineffable mercy. Accept our prayers and labors for the increase of love among all the people of this world. Protect our land, wise the authorities, comfort and pacify everything, grow Your Church, keep Your inheritance, enlighten men, wives, and infants with grace, and strengthen all Your people in Orthodoxy and piety through the prayers of Your Most Pure Mother, through the power of the Precious and Life-giving Cross, and of All the saints who have shone forth in our Land, so that in unity Through faith and love, we glorify You, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, forever and ever."
In conclusion, His Holiness addressed the audience with a Primatial address. 
At the end of the prayer service, the veneration of the holy relics of the Equal-to-the-Apostles Baptist of Russia took place, the ark with a particle of which was carried in a procession from the Kremlin to Borovitskaya Square.

The monument to Equal-to-the-Apostles Grand Duke Vladimir was unveiled on Borovitskaya Square in Moscow on November 4, 2016. The opening ceremony was attended by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. The monument was erected by the Russian Military Historical Society in cooperation with the Moscow Government. The author of the sculpture is the People's Artist of Russia S.A. Shcherbakov.
