A republican bicycle race dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders and the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Cathedral of Belarusian Saints began in Brest on July 8, 2024.
Before the start, a rally and flower laying took place in the Brest Fortress. After a minute of silence, "Eternal Memory" was proclaimed. 
The ceremony was also attended by cyclists of the main team, who were joined by about 200 representatives from specialized educational and sports institutions of Brest and amateur cyclists from the Orthodox parishes of the city on the site at the main entrance to the Brest fortress.
The secretary of the Brest Diocesan Administration, Archpriest Sergiy Petrusevich, conveyed the blessing of Archbishop John of Brest and Kobrin to all participants for the passage of the path to the glory of God and in memory of the feat of the soldiers-liberators. Then a short prayer service was held, the participants of the bike ride were sprinkled with consecrated water.
For six days, the participants of the bike ride will travel through the historical sites of the Brest, Grodno and Minsk regions, visiting memorials, monuments, churches and monasteries associated with the history of Belarus and the Cathedral of Belarusian Saints. The path will run through 40 settlements.
On the final day, July 13, on the eve of the celebration of the Cathedral of Belarusian Saints, columns from all regions of the country will join the bike ride. The day will begin with commemorative events at memorials dedicated to the feat of the liberator soldiers located in different parts of Minsk. Then the columns of participants of the bike ride from the regions will head to the Memorial Temple in honor of All Saints and in memory of the victims, the salvation of the Fatherland of those who served, where a solemn meeting, rally and prayer service will be held at noon.
