Eleven crosses have been delivered to the Banja Luka Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Russo-Serbian Church.

As part of the project, one large cross for the central dome, four crosses for the smaller domes, a cross for the bell tower, three crosses above the entrance, a cross above the gallery, and a cross for the sacristy building have been manufactured and transported to Banja Luka.

The production and transportation of the crosses to the Republic of Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina were funded by the Foundation for the Support of Christian Culture and Heritage, as reported by the foundation's website.

The architectural project for the church was prepared by specialists from the Moscow Architectural Institute, with the prototype being the Cathedral of the Archangel Michael in the Chudov Monastery of the Moscow Kremlin. The development of the project began in August 2017, with the blessing of Bishop Efrem of Banja Luka. Construction work commenced in the fall of 2017, and in 2018, there was a solemn consecration of the foundation and laying of the groundwork.

The church will have three side chapels dedicated to the Transfiguration of the Lord, the Royal Martyrs, and the holy ancestors Simeon and Sava of Serbia, the progenitors of the Nemanjic dynasty. A Russian Cultural Center is also being constructed near the church. The completion of the construction is planned by the end of 2024.
