From August 29 to 31, 2025, the Dobrya Ludzi spiritual and educational youth Festival was held in Bobruysk. The main locations of the event were the square near the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the convent of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women, located on the territory of the Bobruisk fortress.
The organizers were the Bobruisk City Executive Committee and the Bobruisk Diocese of the Belarusian Orthodox Church. One of the partners of the festival was the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Belarus.
For three days, divine services, exhibitions, concerts, creative meetings, film screenings, conversations and interactive classes were held at the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, bringing children and adults together.
According to the organizers, the festival is aimed at popularizing Orthodox culture and traditional spiritual and moral family values, strengthening international cultural ties. The humanitarian mission of the festival is aimed at drawing public attention to the issues of preserving cultural heritage and restoring historical monuments, creating spiritual and educational centers in places historically significant for our country. One of such places on the territory of the city is the Bobruisk Fortress built in 1810, which is included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Values of Belarus. Repair and restoration work is currently underway in the citadel. On the territory of the fortress there is a recreated Alexander Nevsky Cathedral of the convent in honor of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women.
The opening ceremony of the festival took place on August 30. A prayer service was held in the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral with the participation of distinguished guests.
The gala concert "Strong in spirit, kind in heart – united by hope and faith!", which became the central event of the day, brought together about 750 participants from Belarus and Russia on stage.
The third and final day of the Dobrya Liudzi Festival began with the Divine Liturgy at the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. At the end of the service, a solemn prayer service was held on the occasion of the beginning of the new academic year. The service was attended by students of the city, teachers, parents and parishioners of the temple.
