On the feast day in honor of the icon of the Most Holy Theotokos "Vsetsarina", on August 31, 2025, the Pokrovsky Khotkov Stavropol Convent was visited by wounded participants in a special military operation from the A.A. Vishnevsky Hospital.
The children arrived accompanied by sisters of mercy and men from the Russian community (the "Life for One's Friends" squad). During the Divine Liturgy, many confessed and received communion of the Holy Mysteries of Christ.
The sisters and parishioners of the monastery greeted the soldiers cordially: they came up and thanked them, shook hands, and gave them gifts. Some of the guys had something to say-to ask the abbess of the monastery, Abbess Olympiada (Baanova).
After the service, the guests were invited to lunch and a guided tour, after which the sisters asked the soldiers to tell them about themselves.
The villagers thank the defenders for their fortitude, sound mind, kind heart and lively humor, without which it is impossible to remain human in the terrible events of wartime.

The calling of the future Primate to episcopal ministry was formally established by a resolution of the Holy Synod in early March 1976; on the eve of the consecration, the rite of nomination took place, and on March 14—on the Sunday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy—at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra, Archimandrite Kirill (Gundyaev), rector of the Leningrad theological schools, was consecrated Bishop of Vyborg.
