The sisters of the Trinity-St. George Convent of the Sochi Diocese of the Russian Church have distributed an appeal to all concerned believers. The appeal says: "We appeal to you with a request not to remain indifferent and to provide all possible financial assistance for the purchase of a land plot adjacent to the monastery, which was recently put up for sale. This site is vital for us. This is the only opportunity to save the monastery and acquire 40 acres of land on an elevated, non-flooded place."

The situation in the monastery is close to critical. The nursing building, built about 20 years ago, is soaked with dampness, the cells of the nuns are affected by mold, which greatly affects the well-being and health of the monks. The building is located in the bed of the mountain river Psakho, from which the monastery suffers great disasters. During heavy rains, the monastery grounds are flooded. The water level mark in the nursing building reaches 70 cm. In addition to flooding, there is a constant threat of a landslide.

"By the grace of God and with the help of kind people, we managed to hold the first negotiations on the purchase of land and get a substantial discount on the set price from the seller, which now amounts to 44 million rubles." So far, only 10 million rubles have been collected by joint efforts.
"We humbly ask you for help. We will be grateful to you for any of your alms. We ask you to inform us of your names and the names of your loved ones for inclusion in the monastic memorial."
