May 12. The Orthodox Initiative 2025 small grant competition has started. From that day on, the acceptance of project applications began in four project areas: education and upbringing; social service; culture; information.
They are determined taking into account the strategic priorities of the competition, which include support for civic engagement, the establishment of traditional values in modern society, the spiritual and moral education of the individual, and the strengthening of mutual assistance, mercy and care in society. Within these areas, the topics of the projects proposed for the competition should be devoted to educational, educational and spiritual-patriotic activities among children and youth.
Russians Russian Orthodox Church can apply for grant support for their projects: canonical subdivisions of the Russian Orthodox Church; non-profit organizations registered as legal entities; state and municipal institutions; non-governmental organizations in the field of education, culture, healthcare, social protection and others, including organizations created by the Russian Orthodox Church or with its participation; mass media; commercial organizations and individual entrepreneurs. The competition provides equal opportunities for all participants.
Projects that are planned to be implemented by one organization in one region or territory are accepted for the competition. The amount of the requested grant cannot exceed 300,000 rubles. At the same time, the applicant organization must provide its own contribution to the project of at least 25% of the requested amount.
The application will be considered submitted after filling out the electronic form on the contest website. www.pravkonkurs.ru and assigning it an ordinal number.
The deadline for accepting applications is June 5 this year at 18.00 Moscow time.
The winners will be announced no later than July 2. Information about supported applications will be posted on the contest's website, and all participants will receive a notification of the results.

The Orthodox Initiative 2025 Small Grant Competition is being held with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia by the Coordinating Committee for the Promotion of Social, Educational, Informational, Cultural and Other Initiatives under the auspices of the Russian Orthodox Church. The operator of the competition will be the Foundation for the Support of Humanitarian and Educational Initiatives "Sorabotnichestvo".
The purpose of the competition is to support civil initiatives based on cooperation between the Russian Orthodox Church, the public, entrepreneurs and government agencies.
His strategic priorities include: uniting all social strata of modern society around Christian values; supporting civic initiatives that promote Orthodoxy in modern society; building cooperation between the Russian Orthodox Church, the public, entrepreneurs, cultural, scientific and educational figures, local governments, and government authorities.
The objectives of the competition include: support for civic engagement that promotes the establishment of traditional values in modern society, patriotic education of children and youth, and socially responsible entrepreneurship; development of the regions of the Russian Federation through support for initiatives of local communities aimed at solving urgent social problems of both a particular region and society as a whole; improvement of the social climate through support for projects aimed at to solve the problems of the most vulnerable groups of beneficiaries; promotion of practices of mixed (multilateral) financing of social projects; development of volunteerism. It is also intended to promote the development of social engineering, which makes it possible to build constructive relationships between the Russian Orthodox Church, government institutions, public, cultural, scientific figures and entrepreneurs.
