On August 20, 2026, a meeting of the Commission on the Harmonization of Interethnic and Interreligious Relations of the Presidential Council for Cooperation with Religious Associations was held in the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation in Moscow under the leadership of the Chairman of the Synodal Department for Church-Society Relations and the Media, V.R. Legoyda.
Before the meeting, A.V. Tretyakov, the assistant to the Office of the President of the Russian Federation for Internal Policy, Executive Secretary of the Presidential Council for Cooperation with Religious Associations, presented V.R. Legoyda with a certificate of honor from the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin.
During the meeting, issues of the participation of religious organizations in the action plan for the implementation of the Foundations of state Policy for the preservation and strengthening of traditional Russian spiritual and moral values, as well as events of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, including the International Week of the Peoples of Russia, were considered.
The parties also discussed the development of recommendations in the field of information work of religious organizations and their representatives on the Internet, social networks and services.
The meeting's agenda also included consideration of formats for working with young people representing religious organizations.

The discussion was attended by members of the commission, representatives of state authorities of the Russian Federation and traditional religious associations.
On the part of the Russian Orthodox Church, the meeting was also attended by: Deputy Chairman of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs, Priest Alexy Solovyov, Head of the Diocesan Relations Department of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs, Priest Vasily Rodionov, head of the Department for Work with Government Structures of the Synodal Department for Church Relations with Society and the Media, P.V.
