The faithful of the Russian Orthodox Church in the Philippines have contributed to sending needy children back to school, according to a statement from the diocesan press service. A charitable event took place at the parish of Saint Anne in Malibatuan, Cotabato. On Saturday, June 15, a Divine Liturgy was held here, followed by Father Moisei Kahilig and his assistants distributing school supplies and other educational materials to the students.

On Sunday, June 16, at the parish of Archangel Michael in Mahongok, a similar Divine Liturgy was conducted by Father Moisei Kahilig, assisted by Deacons Anthony Aranco and Rafael Fragilio. After the service, clergy members of the diocese continued their charitable mission by distributing stationery sets to children preparing for the new school year.

The Philippine-Vietnamese Diocese has been organizing charitable initiatives to collect and distribute school supplies for several years. The diocese actively supports local families and community organizations to ensure children's education and future prospects. For example, in Tayabas, Quezon Province, the Family Missions International (FMI) has been operating a family charity fund for many years, procuring and distributing school supplies to children.
