The Belarusian Professional Union of Banking and Financial Workers and the Belarusian Exarchate have been cooperating for many years in providing support and financial assistance to low-income and socially vulnerable groups of the population. We have jointly implemented a number of projects aimed at supporting families raising children with disabilities. Traditionally, assistance is provided on the eve of major church and state holidays, as well as during the preparation period for the new school year.
This year, the Belarusian Professional Union of Banking and Financial Workers, together with the Belarusian Exarchate, organized a charity event within the framework of the Trade Unions for Children campaign aimed at helping special schools educating children with disabilities. Special attention was paid to institutions where orphans, children left without parental care, children with disabilities, children with special mental and physical development, and others are educated and brought up. As a result of the campaign, assistance was provided to ten schools in different regions of Belarus. In total, about 20,000 Belarusian rubles were collected. These funds will be used to strengthen the material and technical base of educational institutions.
As part of the campaign, together with the Synodal Department of the Belarusian Orthodox Church for Catechesis, on September 1, solemn lineups dedicated to the Day of Knowledge were held.
