Meetings of the Smart Civilization International Futurological Club, which is a dialogue platform for intellectuals from the BRICS countries and other friendly countries, were held in Moscow on June 15 and 16, 2026.
The first day of the club's work, which took place on June 15 at the site of the International News Agency Russia Today, was devoted to the topic "The civilizational approach as a fundamental basis for future global development."
With the blessing of Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate's Department for External Church Relations, Hieromonk Kirill (Peregudin), an employee of the DECR Secretariat for Foreign Affairs, took part in the work of the club. In the framework of the section "Understanding Traditions and Values of Civilization," Father Kirill made a presentation on "The role of Orthodoxy in shaping Russian civilization: value-semantic parallels with the Chinese tradition."
The second day of the club, which took place on June 16 at the Moscow International Higher School of Business MIRBIS, was dedicated to the theme "Modern societies of Russia and China: the life force and inspiring role of our values and traditions."
The club's meeting ended with the signing of a memorandum on the role of inter-civilizational dialogue between the intellectual class of Russia and China.
