V.R. Legoyda, Chairman of the Synodal Department for Church-Society Relations and the Media, Professor of the Department of International Journalism and the Department of World Literature and Culture at MGIMO, Russian Foreign Ministry, Editor-in-Chief of the Thomas magazine, took part in the events of the sixth Kitovras Book Festival and held a number of meetings during his trip to the Vladimir Metropolitan Area. 
The most important event of the Kitovras festival was an open meeting between V.R. Legoyda and Metropolitan Nikander of Vladimir and Suzdal. The dialogue took place on August 14, 2026, on the main stage of the festival in the Pushkin Park immediately after the opening of the forum; the moderator was the director of the Nikeya publishing house, N.Yu. Breev. 
The conversation focused on the spiritual and moral guidelines of modern man, the place of faith in the life of society, as well as the role of culture and education in personality formation. The participants of the meeting reflected on how to maintain inner support and fidelity to traditional values in a rapidly changing world, what role the Church, family, school, book and live communication play in this. Special attention was paid to such topics as human responsibility for one's choice, the need for a meaningful attitude to the changes taking place, and the importance of meaningful public dialogue. 
During the meeting, a presentation of the book by V.R. Legoyda "Knowledgeable people. About science and what's above." This is a collection of conversations with famous scientists and intellectuals, including T.V. Chernigov, A.V. Savvateev, A.R. Oganov, F.A. Lukyanov. 
On the same day, V.R. Legoyda met with representatives of the regional media on the topic "The Church and the media: trust, responsibility" at the House of Friendship. The event was attended by Metropolitan Nikander, heads of departments, teachers, heads and editors of regional media. 
The participants discussed issues of maintaining public confidence in the media and church institutions in the context of information overload and polarization of opinions. A special place in the discussion was occupied by the issues of the relationship between freedom of speech, professional ethics and respect for religious values, as well as the principles of correct coverage of church subjects. 
A separate section examined the impact of artificial intelligence on journalism and responsibility for content created using new technologies.
