On the day of the repose of St. Sergius, Abbot of Radonezh, the Wonderworker, on October 8, 2025, at the end of the Divine Liturgy at the Trinity-Sergius Lavra in the house church of St. Filaret the Merciful Patriarchal Chambers, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia met with the wife of the President of the Republic of Serbia Tamara Vucic.
In a conversation with the guest, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill praised the activities and personal qualities of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, and assured her of his prayers for the President and the Serbian people.
At the end of the meeting, His Holiness presented Mrs. Vucic with an icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
In turn, Tamara Vucic thanked His Holiness for the opportunity to meet and presented him with a book about Serbia.
The meeting was also attended by Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Moscow Patriarchate's Department for External Church Relations, Bishop Stefan of Remesia, representative of the Patriarch of Serbia to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, and Archpriest Nikolai Balashov, Adviser to Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
