On the feast of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos on October 14, a day long revered as the feast of the intercession of the Mother of God over soldiers, Archpriest Georgy Ivashchuk, rector of the Church of the Archangel Gabriel in the village of Stormovoye, Saksky district, visited military personnel in positions.

At each of the positions, the priest served a prayer service to the Most Holy Theotokos for the Orthodox army. The prayer petitions included words about giving courage, preserving the life and health of soldiers, helping them carry out difficult military labor, and the intercession of the Queen of Heaven over all those who guard our defense.

The priest not only performed the divine service, but also talked with the fighters. He also sprinkled holy water on everyone, and presented each soldier with a small icon of the Mother of God. May this small but cherished image become a reminder of heavenly protection for the defenders and a source of comfort in times of trial.

Such pastoral work is not just a formal action, but a living manifestation of the Church's concern for those who fulfill their duty. On the day of the Intercession, this visit acquired a special meaning: it reminded that no one whose path involves risk and dedication is left without prayer and support.
