On December 19, 2020, the Church of St. Seraphim of Sarov was consecrated in the city of Bavaro of the Dominican Republic. This was reported by the official website of the Mission of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia in the Dominican Republic.

“Dear brothers and sisters! We congratulate everyone on the day of memory of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. Today, with the blessing of Hilarion, Metropolitan of Eastern America and New York, Bishop Isaac of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate consecrated and opened a mission in the name of St. Seraphim of Sarov in Bavaro. " - said in a message on the Facebook page "Orthodox Church in the Dominican Republic".

The Church of St. Seraphim of Sarov belongs to the parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. Before the day of its illumination, local Orthodox gathered at home for services with one of the parishioners for 6 years.
