On July 28, the feast day of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir, a pilgrimage trip of believers from Novosibirsk and Berdsk to the village of Gorny in Toguchinsky district took place.
Upon arrival at the place, the pilgrims joined the procession, which was led by Archpriest Igor Zatolokin. With prayer and banners, the procession moved from the church in honor of the Nativity of Christ to the holy spring in the village of Ermachikha. The journey of about three kilometers was covered by the ringing of bells and the singing of prayer.
In total, more than one and a half hundred people took part in the march.
A funeral prayer was offered at the cross of worship at the entrance to the village — a conciliar commemoration of all the fathers, brothers and sisters who had died before, as well as the soldiers who laid down their lives for the faith and the Fatherland.
A moleben was served to the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir at the very spring. After the service, everyone could draw water from the spring and immerse themselves in the font with faith. Then the participants of the procession were served hot tea and a meal from a real military field kitchen.
On the way back, the pilgrims visited the temple, where they were given a guided tour. Archpriest Igor Zatolokin spoke about the shrines and icons, about the history of their appearance in the temple. At the request of the faithful, Father Igor took out from the altar an ark with fragments of the relics of the Ecumenical saints Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian and John Chrysostom. At the shrine, everyone was anointed with consecrated oil. The rite of anointing was performed by the rector of the church in the name of St. Seraphim of Sarov in Toguchin, Priest Alexei Mangushev. Each pilgrim was presented with commemorative icons of the great saints, consecrated at the relics.
