As part of the celebration of St. Job's Memorial Day, the first Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, the XVII scientific and Practical Job Readings were held at the Obraz Center for the Spiritual and Moral Development of Children and Youth on July 1, 2026.
This conference, which became a tribute to the blessed memory of the great saint, brought together young researchers, their mentors and honored guests to once again touch the rich historical heritage of the Staritsky land.
Abbot Damaskin (Leonov), rector of the Staritsky Holy Dormition Monastery, opened the event with a welcoming speech. Deputy Head M.A. Ryzhkova expressed warm wishes on behalf of the administration of the Staritsky municipal district.
The moderator of the readings was the head of the "Together" program of the Staritsky Monastery Renaissance Foundation, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation O.M. Stebunova.
The reports of the young guides were a real discovery, touching upon key milestones in the annals of the city and the district.:
• Angelina Romanova made a presentation dedicated to the patron saint of readings, St. Job, whose name has become a symbol of spiritual greatness.
• Arseny Lebedev spoke about the decisive role of Grand Duke Mikhail Yaroslavich in the formation and prosperity of the Tver land.
 Ustinya Kuznetsova dedicated her speech to the 25th anniversary of the Monastery Renaissance Foundation.
• Artyom Kushchuk spoke about the connection with the Old Woman of the famous clown Karandash (Mikhail Rumyantsev).
• Polina Oshchipko covered the history of the creation of the first Staritsky newspaper.
• Ivan Orlov dedicated his speech to the famous Staritsky branch of the Vershinsky nobility.
A.V. Shitkov, a teacher at the center and Staritsky College, spoke about the ascetic of piety Pelagia Staritskaya.
