In accordance with the decision of the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church, a delegation of the Serbian Patriarchate was in Russia from November 22 to December 2, 2023.
A delegation of the Serbian Orthodox Church visited St. Petersburg, where an agreement on cooperation between the Russian National Library and the Library of the Serbian Patriarchate was signed. During their stay in the Northern Capital of Russia, guests from Serbia visited the Kazan Cathedral, the Alexander Nevsky Lavra and the monastery of St. Alexander Svirsky, as well as the chapel of Blessed Xenia of St. Petersburg and the grave of St. John of Kronstadt in St. John's Stavropol Convent on Karpovka.
In Moscow, in the Pokrovsky Women's Stavropol Monastery, the guests worshiped the relics of the Blessed Matron of Moscow, and in the Danilov Stavropol Men's Monastery — the relics of the blessed Prince Daniel of Moscow and other shrines of the monastery.
A cooperation agreement was also signed between the Russian State Library and the Library of the Serbian Patriarchate. On the same day, the members of the delegation visited the St. Andrew's Stavropol Monastery, got acquainted with the current state of the St. Andrew's Monastery, the Synodal Library and the graduate school of the Moscow Theological Academy, discussing prospects for cooperation with the Orthodox Theological Faculty of the University of Belgrade and the Library of the Serbian Patriarchate.
Members of the scientific delegation of the Serbian Patriarchate visited the Russian State Archive of Ancient Acts (RGADA). At St. Tikhon's Orthodox University for the Humanities, scientists from Serbia had a conversation with the rector of the university, Archpriest Vladimir Vorobyov, as well as Vice-rector for Scientific and International Work, Archpriest Konstantin Polskov and Dean of the Faculty of theology, Archpriest Pavel Khondzinsky.
At the end of their stay in Moscow, the members of the Serbian Church delegation visited the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, St. Basil's Cathedral on Red Square and the museums of the Moscow Kremlin, including the Assumption, Archangel and Annunciation Cathedrals.
