With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, on June 6, 2026, Bishop Kirill of Sergiev Posad and Dmitrov, vicar of the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra, performed the rite of the great consecration of the church of St. Sergius of Radonezh in the courtyard of the Gremyachy Klyuch monastery.
Present at the temple were: Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and Communal Services, Executive Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for the Preservation, Restoration of the Historical Appearance and Development of Sergiev Posad, Moscow region, S.A. Pakhomov, Deputy General Director for the Development of the production system of the Rosatom State Corporation, S.A. Obozov, Head of Sergiev Posad City O.V. Erokhanova district, military personnel and veterans of military service, members of the public, etc. The liturgical hymns were performed by the choir under the direction of Ksenia Gorina.
After the Liturgy, the rector of the courtyard, Hieromonk Guriy (Gusev) He thanked the vicar of the lavra for the perfect rite of great consecration and delivered a sermon.
"In the Psalter we hear these words: "Whoever enters the temple of God will rejoice, trusting in the Lord, and will rejoice forever" (Ps. 5:12). Temples of God are built so that the human heart may find hope and joy. The fact that a church is being consecrated here in our holy monastery today, at this difficult time of trials for our Fatherland, inspires hope in God in our hearts, strengthens faith that our hearts will rejoice, and we will survive the trials and storms taking place today, and the Lord will grant us lasting and inalienable peace." — said, in particular, the abbot.
Then Bishop Kirill addressed the faithful with an archpastoral address: "The uncreated, inner temples of human souls are what is a mirror image of the temple in the ordinary world. People always brought the most precious and most valuable things to the temple. All offerings to shrines and icons were donated to the temple. Also, a person's soul is the most precious thing. While doing ordinary mundane things that cannot be abandoned, we should most of all take care of what is with our soul. <...> God grant that people do not become impoverished in this church, and in every church that we revive and consecrate, there will be a lively stream of people who necessarily participate in the Sacraments of the Church."
Vladyka Kirill donated to the church an icon of St. Macarius of Moscow, the enlightener of Altai, and an icon of the New Martyr Vladimir Chetverin, whose relics were placed in the altar.
Then the certificates of appreciation were presented.

The Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh, decorated with the tyablov iconostasis of the Moscow school of writing and the iconographic vaults of heaven, was recreated on the site of the Sergievsky Temple that burned down in 2020. Today it is an important part of an integral ensemble of wooden architecture with a belfry, fonts and buildings at the historical site of the fountain of St. Sergius of Radonezh.
