Applications for the International Open Grant Competition "Orthodox Initiative — 2024" are being accepted. It is held with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia by the Coordinating Committee for the Promotion of Social, Educational, Informational, Cultural and Other Initiatives under the auspices of the Russian Orthodox Church. The operator of the competition is the Foundation for the Support of Humanitarian and Educational Initiatives "Co-operation".
Priority topics have been identified: "Traditional family values as the basis of spiritual, moral and civic-patriotic education", "Spiritual and mentoring assistance to the families of the participants of the SVO", "Environmental education and upbringing".
The key idea of the nomination "Traditional family values as the basis of spiritual and moral and civil-patriotic education" is the upbringing of a harmoniously developed and socially responsible personality based on spiritual and moral values. Projects aimed at strengthening the moral authority of the family and parenthood in modern society, promoting patriotic and spiritual and moral education of children and youth, and promoting information about traditional spiritual and moral values in the public space will be accepted for the competition.
The nomination "Spiritual and mentoring assistance to the families of the participants of the special military operation" is dedicated to the involvement of citizens in socially significant activities that contribute to the comprehensive support of family members of participants in a special military operation. Within its framework, it is possible to submit initiatives involving the promotion of socialization and career guidance for children from families of mobilized, volunteer activities for the organization and holding of events for the families of participants of the SVO, familiarization of children from families of mobilized with traditional spiritual and moral values, outstanding spiritual and secular figures of the past and present, who made a significant contribution to the formation and strengthening of Russian statehood, as well as work to popularize among children and youth truthful information about the history of Russia and the entire Russian world.
The idea of the nomination "Environmental Education and upbringing" is the upbringing of a harmonious, literate, creatively active and socially adapted personality, capable of feeling and understanding the outside world, being sensitive and loving to nature and the surrounding world. This priority topic includes competitive projects aimed at the formation of environmental culture (festivals, exhibitions, information and interactive programs), the development of cognitive and creative activity of children in the process of environmental activities, the education of a careful and respectful attitude to the environment, the popularization of environmental education, the involvement of citizens in solving environmental problems; promoting the principles of thrift and building thrifty communities.
In order to develop and support civic activity in the northern territories, to create the historical and cultural space of the territories of the Arctic, the Far North, and the Far East, the nomination "Development of the Northern territories and support for the indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East of the Russian Federation" was established.
In order to replicate successful practices and support initiatives in closed administrative-territorial entities of Rosatom, applications for the special nomination "Closed Territories" are examined in a special manner, with a lowered threshold value of the passing score. BUT these include Zheleznogorsk (Krasnoyarsk Territory), Zarechny (Penza Region), Zelenogorsk (Krasnoyarsk Territory), Lesnoy (Sverdlovsk Region), Novouralsk (Sverdlovsk Region), Ozersk (Chelyabinsk Region), Sarov (Nizhny Novgorod Region), Seversk (Tomsk Region), Snezhinsk (Chelyabinsk Region), Trekhgorny (Chelyabinsk region).
Projects in the special nomination "Small Towns and Villages" will also be examined in a special order — this is done in order to support the initiatives of applicants from small settlements, as well as applicants, regardless of their place of registration, who plan to implement their projects in small towns and villages. Projects in this special category can be submitted in all project areas, the amount of their grant support can be up to 300,000 rubles.
The acceptance of bids will end on March 10. The application is considered submitted to the competition after filling out the electronic form on the competition website www.pravkonkurs.ru and assigning a serial number to the application.
It is planned to announce the results of the competition no later than April 20
Russian Russian Orthodox Initiative competition is open to: canonical units of the Russian Orthodox Church; non-profit organizations registered as legal entities; state and municipal institutions; non-governmental organizations in the field of education, culture, health, social protection and others, including organizations created by the Russian Orthodox Church or with its participation; mass media information; commercial organizations and individual entrepreneurs.
