On June 24, 2026, a solemn event dedicated to the consecration of domed crosses and domes for the church under construction in the name of St. Joseph of Volotsky took place on the territory of the headquarters of logistics of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Moscow.
The rite of consecration of the domed crosses and domes was performed by Metropolitan Kirill of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk.
At the end of the service, Colonel-General Alexander Sanchik, Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, addressed the audience. In his speech, he emphasized the significance of the event, noting, "The cross is a symbol of the victory of good over evil." On behalf of the leadership of the military department, A. Sanchik expressed gratitude to the benefactors for their assistance in the construction of the temple and presented letters of thanks.
Then the Chairman of the Synodal Department for Cooperation with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies took the floor. Metropolitan Kirill wished the construction participants God's help and a speedy completion of the work. In his address, the archpastor paid special attention to the importance of the spiritual care of the military personnel of the army and navy, as well as the preservation of indestructible military traditions. In recognition of his work for the benefit of the Holy Church and for his active participation in church building, the head of the Synodal Department presented Episcopal diplomas to the heads of the central military administration bodies.
The construction of the departmental church in the name of St. Joseph of Volotsky is carried out on the historical site where the church in the name of the righteous Filaret the Merciful was located, which was razed to the ground in 1918. 
According to the organizers, the newly equipped church is intended to become a center for the spiritual care of the personnel of the logistics forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and a place of prayer commemoration of fallen soldiers.
