From January 25 to January 29, 2026, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, the XXXIV International Christmas Educational Readings "Enlightenment and Morality: Personality Formation and Challenges of the Time" will be held in Moscow.
On January 28, the conference "Back to the Future" will be held at the National Center "Russia" (Pavilion No. 7) as part of the VI Reading area "Interaction of the Church with state and public institutions and the media". The event was organized by the All-Russian social movement "Forty Sorokov" with the support of the Synodal Department for Church Relations with Society and the Media.
The name of the forum symbolizes an appeal to the millennial historical and spiritual experience of Russia, which allowed the creation of a unique state-civilization. The purpose of the conference is to use this legacy to reflect on ways to implement Presidential Decrees No. 309 "On the National Development Goals of the Russian Federation for the Period up to 2030 and for the future up to 2036" and No. 809 "On Approving the Foundations of State Policy for the Preservation and Strengthening of Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values."
A plenary session on "Shaping the future based on 1,000-year-old traditional spiritual and moral values" will open in the Congress hall at 11:00 a.m. Representatives of the clergy, government and public figures, experts in the fields of culture, education, sports and demography will take part in the discussion. Registration starts at 9.30.
From 13.45 to 18.15, the conference will continue in the format of thematic sections, during which practical issues of building the country's future will be considered.:
• Section 1: "Family: Overcoming the mentality of egocentrism and the revival of the mentality of unity";
• Section 2: "Orthodoxy and sport: The formation of spiritual and moral guidelines";
• Section 3: "Land, home, children — three pillars of demographic growth";
• Section 4: "The future of youth: Shaping policy based on traditional values";
• Section 5: "The revival of the cultural field of Holy Russia";
• Section 6: "The role of traditionalist entrepreneurs in the revival of Holy Russia."
Clergy, government and municipal officials, cultural and sports figures, teachers, representatives of parent and youth communities, entrepreneurs, bloggers and all interested citizens are invited to participate in the conference.
