On October 12, 2026, the two—day forum "Talking about important things: a happy family is a strong State" began in the city of Polotsk, which is held under the patronage of the Council of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian Exarchate. This year, for the first time, the forum gained international status and brought together official parliamentary delegations from Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Uzbekistan.
On the first day of the forum, the Spaso-Euphrosyne Convent hosted an open dialogue during which large families from all regions of Belarus discussed their ideas and issues with Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus Metropolitan Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslavsky and Chairman of the Council of the Republic of Belarus Natalia Kochanova.
The participants discussed strengthening traditional values, protecting information sovereignty, increasing the role of fatherhood, and demographic security, which has become a top priority for the country's socio-economic development in the coming years.
On the same day, the forum participants visited St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk Polotsk State University and the Polotsk Cadet School, and also got acquainted with the exhibition of folk crafts.
The key event of the forum will be the plenary session, which will be held on October 13 under the arches of St. Sophia Cathedral. The participants will discuss the priorities of demographic security, the development of state family policy, the strengthening of interparliamentary cooperation and guidelines for the spiritual and moral education of young people. The forum will end with a festive concert program "Time to choose true values: family, faith, unity, Homeland."
