A bust of the Holy Admiral was unveiled and consecrated in front of the Saransk Orthodox Gymnasium in the name of the righteous warrior Feodor Ushakov on the quarter-century anniversary of his canonization. 
The bust was consecrated by Metropolitan Zinovy of Saransk and Mordovia. In a conversation with the gathered teachers and parents, the bishop emphasized that the righteous warrior Theodore Ushakov is an example not only of military prowess, but also of mercy and service to people.
"Thanks to the prayerful intercession of the righteous soldier Feodor Ushakov, many souls will be filled with virtue, knowledge, piety, love for the Motherland and, of course, holiness. I wish you all God's blessing and salvation," said Metropolitan Zinovy.
The Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Volga Federal District, Igor Anatolyevich Komarov, and the Head of Mordovia, Artyom Alekseevich Zdunov, became guests of honor at the dedication of the monument. They laid flowers at the foot of the monument, paying tribute to the patron saint of the Russian Navy and Mordovia. From now on, the holy admiral will greet high school students going to school every morning. Starting from the new school year, the first 50 students will sit at their desks here.
After the bust was unveiled, the guests appreciated the renovation of the gymnasium. The renovated building promises to become a modern and comfortable space for education and upbringing.
The gymnasium has been successfully operating since September 1, 2025. In the first academic year, junior high school students became newly minted high school students. In the 2026-2027 academic years, it is planned to study basic general education programs in the fifth grade. For this purpose, in December, the gymnasium was given a building on Bolshevistskaya Street. A complete overhaul was carried out in this building for several months under the direct supervision of Metropolitan Zinovy. Currently, the premises are being prepared in accordance with all the requirements that the legislation imposes on educational institutions.
