Sixteen people who survived the death of loved ones in the conflict zone became participants in a special rehabilitation program that took place on the territory of the Nikolo-Ugreshsky Stavropol monastery near Moscow.
The rehabilitation course was conducted with the blessing of the vicar of the monastery, Bishop Methodius of Yegoryevsky, with the support of the Committee of Families of Soldiers of the Fatherland. The organizer of the project is the ANO Center for Crisis Psychology and Social Rehabilitation. The rehabilitation program was developed and implemented under the guidance of crisis psychologist Mikhail Khasminsky.
Nine adults and seven children from Chelyabinsk, Yoshkar-Ola, Vologda, Belgorod and the Belgorod region, as well as Minsk took part in the rehabilitation program. The main tasks for the organizers of the program were to provide practical assistance to overcome the acute crisis and create a special environment for the participants of the program. Leading Russian psychologists and priests worked with people experiencing grief.
Excursions, informational and motivational meetings with famous people, collective screenings of films and cartoons, and joint tea parties were also held for the participants of the program. In addition, the project participants visited Sergiev Posad and the Trinity-Sergius Lavra.
