A meeting was held between members of the Commission for the Development of Pilgrimage and the Bringing of Shrines with members of the working group involved in the development of pilgrimage routes related to the life and ministry of St. Tikhon, Patriarch of Moscow.
The meeting was held in a remote format under the chairmanship of the head of the Commission, Archbishop Matthew of Yegoryevsky. The meeting was attended by 12 representatives from six dioceses.
Within the framework of the event, a presentation of pilgrimage and sightseeing routes related to the life and ministry of St. Tikhon took place. The presentation was conducted by the heads of pilgrimage services from the Tver, Pskov and Yaroslavl dioceses, the St. Petersburg Metropolia, the Moscow Metochion of the Orthodox Church in America and the Museum of Memory of the New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia.
The members of the working group also developed and presented a new pilgrimage route that unites the main places of the capital associated with the Moscow period of St. Tikhon's ministry — "St. Tikhon. The Crown of Thorns of confessionalism."
