On the feast of the finding of the venerable relics of St. Seraphim, the Wonderworker of Sarov, on January 15, patronal celebrations were held in the church of the same name in Montgeron.
The festive Divine Liturgy at St. Seraphim's Church was celebrated by the Patriarchal Exarch of Western Europe, Metropolitan Nestor of Korsun, and Bishop Justin of Western Europe (Serbian Orthodox Church).
The hierarchs were co-served by the rector of the church, Hieromonk Nicodemus (Pavlinchuk), the rector of the Three Saints Church in Paris, Archpriest Nikolai Rebinder, the secretary for the care of the Moldovan Diaspora, Hieromonk Joseph (Pavlinchuk), Archpriest Theodore Tyrsyna, Priest Gabriel Lacascad, Priest Rodion Rashku, who accompanied the archpastor, Priest Daniel Naberezhnye Chelny and Deacon Roman Onika, guests and pilgrims in the holy The sleigh.
The divine service was conducted in Church Slavonic, French and Moldovan.
At the end of the service, the archpastors and clergy performed the traditional rite of glorification before the venerated image of St. Seraphim.
After that, the Patriarchal Exarch addressed the church with a sermon dedicated to the life and veneration of the Saint of Diveevo, warmly welcomed the distinguished guest from the fraternal Serbian Church, Bishop Justin, and congratulated the clergy and parishioners of the church on the patronal feast.
In response, the rector of the church, Hieromonk Nicodemus, thanked the hierarchs for visiting the church and celebrating the Liturgy on the day of the special celebrations of the patronal feast of the community, and presented both hierarchs with icons of the Savior.
Then the archpastors, clergy, parishioners and guests of the church shared a fraternal meal.
