During the summer holidays, while the students are resting, the doors of the Sunday School located at the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Cheboksary are open to representatives of the community of people who are faced with oncological diseases "Close people".
Here, in the classrooms of the school, they meet to discuss current issues and just support each other, because they live in a mode of anxiety for their health, and stress from the loss of people who have been overcome by the disease.
At the beginning of the month, a community activist prepared for a seminar as part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Republican Oncological Dispensary. The community highly appreciated the oncological dispensary for its activities. The community has already developed a tradition of attending performances. Once again, grateful viewers came to watch a production based on Leo Tolstoy's work "How People Live," which made them think about the simple values of life. Twice a week, wellness classes are held with people who are ill and undergoing rehabilitation, which take place in a gentle mode for them, which is important for strengthening their health.
These meetings within the walls of the Sunday School provide an opportunity to get answers to many questions: here women give each other advice from the experience of undergoing severe treatment, they can ask a question to the priest, take a blessing, which is very valuable for them. Every time they go home with burning eyes and the belief that everything in their lives will get better.
