On this day, the 17th anniversary of His Holiness’s enthronement was commemorated. At the conclusion of the service, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church addressed the faithful gathered in the cathedral.

After all, infirmity is a disease, incapacity; it is, as modern people would say, uncompetitiveness. A person cannot compete with anyone if he is full of weakness, but the Lord utters these paradoxical words: My strength is perfected in weakness.
