With the blessing of His Eminence Hypatius, Archbishop of Anadyr and Chukotka, and with the participation of the Chukotka Regional branch of United Russia and the Public Library named after him. A memorial exhibit has appeared in the main church of the Chukotka diocese of Tana Bogoraza, which depicts the soldiers of Chukotka who died in the zone of a Special military operation.
Archbishop Hypatius addressed the audience in the church with an archpastoral address. His Eminence stressed that Russia has always been famous for military exploits and the strength of the spirit of the defenders of the Motherland.
"When you look into the eyes of our soldiers who laid down their lives on the battlefield for faith and Fatherland, you gain spiritual strength and the courage to do good deeds to protect your Homeland," said the archpastor.
The head of the legislative body of the region, Leonid Nikolaev, noted the significance of the event during the holding of the forum "The People and the Army are united" in the district, which testifies to the inextricable link between society, the army and the Church.
"I have never seen images of Svoboda fighters placed in temples before. It seems to me that this is a very right step. People will see our heroes, remember them, thank them, and pray," said L. Nikolaev.
Kirill Nikulin, a representative of the Veterans Association in the Chukotka Autonomous Region, considers the opening of the Memorial Wall to be a great event.
"I know many of the guys from the Memory Wall personally, I communicate with their loved ones. Now they have the opportunity to come to the temple and see their relatives, to remember our brothers who did not return from the front," said the veteran of the SVO.
The Wall of Memory of the fallen soldiers of the special military operation was opened in the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Anadyr.
