A mass baptism took place in Cameroon at the parish of the Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessaloniki in Yaoundé. According to the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa, "24 local residents, including children and teenagers, were born into a new life in Christ Jesus."

On the same day, a meeting was held within the community, during which a sisterhood was formed. Orthodox women actively involved in helping the parish were accepted into the sisterhood. "We call them myrrh-bearers for their service to their neighbors and the Church," shared Father Pavel, the parish priest. The clergy solemnly bestowed pastoral blessings on the members of the newly created sisterhood.

In the fall of 2022, two communities in northern Cameroon joined the Russian Orthodox Church: the parish of St. George the Great Martyr and the community of St. Apostle Mark.

Currently, several future priests from Cameroon are studying in Moscow at the courses provided by the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa. This spring, applicants from Kenya, Madagascar, Cameroon, Uganda, and Burundi were admitted to the Russian as a Foreign Language course at MPGU (Moscow State Pedagogical University). Upon completion of their studies and successful certification, students will have the opportunity to enroll in Russian Orthodox seminaries, primarily at the St. Nicholas Ugresh Seminary.
