On the eve of the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, veterans of a special military operation gathered with their wives, parents, and children at the Stavropol regional branch of the Defenders of the Fatherland State Foundation. Metropolitan Kirill of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk, Chairman of the Synodal Department for Cooperation with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, arrived. Oksana Romanenko, the head of the branch, met Vladyka and showed him how the foundation lives.

Then there's a communal table, tea, and conversation. Without regulations. Someone was telling their story, someone was getting to know the neighbors.
"During a special military operation, special efforts of the state and the whole society are needed to help the fighters. The whole society and the Russian Orthodox Church are involved in this," the metropolitan said.

Vladyka gave each family an icon of the "Miraculous Savior", an exact copy of the image from the main church of the Russian Armed Forces, and prayer books for the soldier and his family. The metropolitan left the banner "Spas Not Made with Hands" to the foundation's branch as a sign of blessing and support to all who come here.

Such meetings have already become a tradition here. Many families find support in each other. There is no need to explain to anyone what is behind the word "wait".
