From October 15 to 18, the XII Interregional Forum of Orthodox Youth "Peresvet" was held in Saransk, the capital of the Republic of Mordovia.
The forum brought together more than 150 participants from 16 regions of our country. These are heads and activists of youth departments of dioceses, representatives of the clergy, seminarians and students of theological educational institutions.
The main topics of the forum are the preservation of traditional family values, sobriety, spiritual enlightenment and the development of youth ministry.
The program turned out to be very rich and versatile. The participants prayed at the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of St. Theodore Ushakov, met with Metropolitan Zinovy of Saransk and Mordovia, as well as Hieromonk Filaret (Zubov), Acting Chairman of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs.
Special attention was paid to practical issues: seminars on family support and having many children were organized; strategic sessions on church youth policy; discussion of projects to establish sobriety; workshops on creating video content using neural networks for the mission; exchange of experience between dioceses.
The participants also visited the St. John the Theologian Makarov Monastery, worked at the Three Saints Church, watched the film "The Secret of Admiral Ushakov" and talked informally.
Following the results of the forum, Metropolitan Zinovy of Saransk and Mordovia presented certificates and memorable gifts to all its participants.
