The new church will be a gift for residents of the Tambov district for the centennial anniversary of the territory. Vasily Orlov, Governor of the Amur Region, visited the site of the temple under construction in the village of Tambovka.
As the head of the region said in his channel in MACH, today the temple is almost ready, the walls and domed vaults have been installed. Eight bells have been made in the Ivanovo region, and they have already been delivered to Tambov. The domes were made in the Chelyabinsk region. They are scheduled to be brought to the municipality in April, after which installation work will begin.
"August 2026 marks the 100th anniversary of the Tambov district. The new temple is a great gift for the centennial anniversary. The church needs to be completed by the holiday, as well as landscaping," said Vasily Orlov.

The calling of the future Primate to episcopal ministry was formally established by a resolution of the Holy Synod in early March 1976; on the eve of the consecration, the rite of nomination took place, and on March 14—on the Sunday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy—at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra, Archimandrite Kirill (Gundyaev), rector of the Leningrad theological schools, was consecrated Bishop of Vyborg.
