On October 15, a photo exhibition of works by the famous Greek photographer Kostas Asimis, one of the few photographers who are allowed to shoot in the monasteries of Mount Athos, was opened in the conference hall of the Vvedensky Stavropol Monastery of Optina Deserts.
Bishop Joseph, vicar of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, the vicar of the monastery, spoke at the opening. In his opening speech, he noted the uniqueness of the exhibition, expressed gratitude to the author, thanks to whose works you can feel the spirit of Mount Athos.
Kostas Asimis presented his works: photographs of everyday modern life of the iPhone and historical photographs of the Holy Mountain of the late 19th - early 20th centuries of the Russian Panteleimon Monastery, which were restored thanks to his participation.
The exhibition will last until November 12 in the conference hall of the Optina Desert Monastery.
