On July 13, Archpriest Ilya Nastevich, Chairman of the Missionary Department of the Odintsovo Diocese, visited a summer youth camp organized by the diocesan youth Department.
During the meeting, Father Ilya presented to the camp participants an educational project dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. The young people got acquainted with a mobile quest tour developed by the Missionary Department of the Odintsovo Diocese, and with the help of a chatbot they went through an interactive route, completing thematic tasks and answering questions about the history, culture and spiritual heritage of the peoples of our country.
After completing the quest, a discussion of the project took place, during which the participants shared their impressions. The interactive format aroused great interest among young people and showed the effectiveness of using modern digital technologies in spiritual and moral education and missionary work.

March 14, 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the episcopal consecration of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill. This is not merely a personal jubilee, but a date of profound significance for the fullness of the Church as a whole, because episcopal consecration is the moment of assuming a special responsibility for the people of God and a witness to the Church’s fidelity to apostolic succession. The calling of the future Primate to episcopal ministry was formally established by a resolution of the Holy Synod in early March 1976; on the eve of the consecration, the rite of nomination took place, and on March 14—on the Sunday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy—at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra, Archimandrite Kirill (Gundyaev), rector of the Leningrad theological schools, was consecrated Bishop of Vyborg.

Exactly 50 years ago, on March 13, 1976, at the Church of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian at the Leningrad Theological Academy, the rite of nomination took place; and on the following day, March 14, the First Sunday of Great Lent, the Feast of the Triumph of Orthodoxy, during the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra in Leningrad, the episcopal consecration of Archimandrite Kirill — the future Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’ — was performed. The service was presided over by the ever-memorable Metropolitan Nikodim (Rotov), whom His Holiness Patriarch Kirill calls his spiritual mentor and teacher.
