On February 28, 2024, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia chaired the regular meeting of the Supreme Church Council of the Russian Orthodox Church in the hall of the Supreme Church Council of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow.
The Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church welcomed the audience and announced the agenda of the meeting.
The meeting heard the report "Current problems of modern bioethics: the development of biomedicine and high technologies (artificial intelligence; gene interventions; transplantology)" (speaker — Bishop Siluan of Peterhof, co—speaker - Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences E.B. Prokhorchuk), a message "On the implementation of a full five-year plan of study in theological seminaries" (speaker — Archpriest Maxim Kozlov). They also reviewed the draft document "Regulations on the Council for Cooperation of the Russian Orthodox Church with organizations of higher and secondary vocational education in the field of spiritual and moral education" (speaker - Metropolitan Yevgeny of Yekaterinburg and Verkhotursky) and approved the dates and topics of the International Christmas Educational Readings in 2025 (speaker — Metropolitan Yevgeny of Yekaterinburg and Verkhotursky).
