On September 25-26, 2026, the Moscow Theological Academy implemented a professional development program for entrepreneurs and senior managers called "Business Management based on Orthodox Values." The purpose of the program is to combine a spiritual and professional approach to management: in working with people, building an enterprise system, and making decisions.
The first diplomas were awarded to the owners and top management of the HimRar Group of companies, a large high-tech business in the field of drug development.
The participants highly appreciated the combination of ethics and practice. Dmitry Kravchenko, President of HimRar Group, emphasized the value of concrete business guidelines rather than abstract reasoning: "I liked that the answer was not limited to general phrases and "beautiful ideals", but provided a really applicable framework: the key principles (service, respect for a person, honesty, social responsibility, etc.) were clearly highlighted. and it immediately shows how they can be applied in practice — in relations with employees, partners, and in decision-making in a crisis."
Dmitry Kravchenko also noted that the program raised very pressing issues and formulated important criteria for finding a compromise: "I would like to note that the lecturers honestly identified possible difficulties: the multi-confessional nature of the team, the risk of replacing managerial decisions with religious dogmas, conflicts between short-term profit and moral principles. These are the most important stress points for businesses, and it's great that they haven't been bypassed."
Nikolay Merkin, Chief Financial Officer of HimRar Group, noted the successful balance of spiritual and applied: "I liked the balance between the spiritual component and practical business tools. The program provides answers to difficult questions.: how to make good management decisions, how to build relationships with partners based on trust and how not to lose yourself in the race for results."
Sergey Restevanyan, CEO of AFS Technologies, thanked the organizers and separately noted the atmosphere of the venue: "Many thanks to the organizers of the program! I didn't expect it to be so interesting and informative. Special thanks for choosing the venue on the basis of the Moscow Theological Academy and the opportunity to touch the grace that you literally breathe in the Trinity Sergius Lavra!"
The program was led by the Vice—rector for Licensing and Accreditation of the Moscow City University, Priest Andrey Lysevich, and E. N. Belyaeva, the author of the methodology of management based on Orthodox values, the head of the Project Council of Orthodox Entrepreneurs.
