The Publishing House of the Moscow Patriarchate has published a book of the works of St. Anthony the Great, "Love God with All Your Soul," in the Monastic Library series.
The new collection includes the works of the ascetic of the III-IV centuries, the founder of hermit monasticism, St. Anthony the Great and his life, compiled by St. Athanasius of Alexandria.
The description of St. Anthony's spiritual feat, temptations and struggle with them, as well as his instructions themselves, are an integral part of any monastic library to this day, warm the hearts and help those who choose the monastic path to walk it uncomplicated.
In a message to the reader, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia notes: "For a monk, reading is a multi—useful spiritual activity, an integral part of the struggle against passions and the acquisition of virtues. Reading helps to resolve spiritual difficulties, to look at any situation in an evangelical way. It enlightens and strengthens in battle and, of course, awakens zeal for the Lord God."
